“In a world saturated with media, the power of a single, compelling image can cut through the clutter,” says the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) 2015 Global Photo Competition website.

CIPE seeks photo submissions from anyone, anywhere around the globe who can capture an image that shows the power of entrepreneurship to change lives and answers the question:

“How can individuals be empowered to improve their lives and contribute to the democratic development of their communities and countries through entrepreneurship?”

Participants must submit entries no later than July 31, and can enter images in a number of formats through the competition website or if they have a Flickr account through CIPE’s Flickr page. A panel of judges will select finalists; public online voting on August 12 — International Youth Day — will determine three winners. The three winners will each receive an honorarium of $250.

U.S.-based CIPE’s mission is to strengthen democracy around the world through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. Check out winning entries for the CIPE 2014 Global Editorial Cartoon Competition for inspiration today!
