In response to the crisis in Venezuela, the United States, with regional and international partners, has pre-positioned relief supplies that will save lives and relieve suffering of Venezuelans.
In recent weeks, nearly 546 metric tons of medicines, hygiene supplies and food — some locally sourced — have been delivered to Brazil, Colombia and Curaçao. The United States also is extending economic assistance and other support to the people of Venezuela.
These efforts are in addition to the extensive humanitarian assistance the United States has provided for more than a year to Venezuelans who have fled to other countries in the region.
