There are important things you should know about President Obama. For instance, he is the first U.S. president to visit India twice during his presidency. He’s traveling there January 26 to participate in India Republic Day as the chief guest and to build on the U.S.-India strategic partnership.

But there is a lot more to know about the 44th U.S. president. Here are five fun facts about President Obama:

1. President Renegade

The Secret Service — the agency tasked with protecting the president and his family — gives code names to every member of the first family. President Obama’s is Renegade, first lady Michelle Obama’s is Renaissance, older daughter Malia’s is Radiance and younger daughter Sasha’s is Rosebud.

 

 2. Early employment

President Obama’s first job as a teenager was scooping ice cream. He says that he ate so much ice cream then that he no longer likes it.

 

3. Would-be architect

President Obama once wanted a career in architecture. “There was a time when I thought I could be an architect,” he said. “I expected to be more creative than I turned out, so I went into politics instead.”

 

4. Bad habit

When he was a candidate for president, Obama was asked to name his worst habit. He said it was checking his Blackberry mobile phone.
