Free, open Indo-Pacific benefits all nations [video]

“The American people and the whole world have a stake in the Indo-Pacific’s peace and prosperity,” Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said at the Indo-Pacific Business Forum in 2018. “It’s why the Indo-Pacific must be free and open.”

The United States is partnering with regional allies on public-private development projects, regional security programs, and investment initiatives. All while supporting individual countries’ sovereignty and independence.

“America’s relationships throughout the Indo-Pacific today are characterized by mutual trust and respect,” Pompeo said.
