Lost as a boy, man uses Google Earth to find family

Saroo Munshi Khan was five years old when he strayed from his home in Madhya Pradesh, India. Lost and too young to find his way back, he was ultimately adopted from an orphanage by an Australian couple. He grew up wondering about his birth family. Thanks to an open Internet, Google Earth and childhood memories, he found his hometown. An Internet where private companies cooperate with public and private satellite image providers made it possible for Saroo, sitting at home, to reach across the globe for detailed information and find it.
