Is it still considered fishing if all you catch is plastic?

Scientists estimate that the ocean will have more plastic than fish by 2050. Today, the world is using 20 times more plastic than 50 years ago, and one-third of what we produce winds up in the ocean or in the stomach of a bird.

World leaders and experts will meet September 15–16 try to find better ways to protect and clean up the world’s water at the Our Ocean conference in Washington.
