The Peace Corps has long worked to help girls develop self-esteem and leadership skills. Programs like Camp GLOW (Girls Leading Our World), now found in over 60 countries, offer high school age girls a safe and supportive environment for cultural exchange, individuality, creativity, leadership development and fun.

But men also gain when women have equal opportunities. New Peace Corps programs like Camp BRO (Boys Reaching Out), Camp BILDs (Boys in Leadership Development) and Teaching Our Boys Excellence (TOBE) camps help boys better understand their their role as equal partners with girls.

Peace Corps volunteers help boys learn about lifestyle choices, reproductive health, prevention of domestic violence and planning for the future.

What leadership and life skills do you think boys can learn that will advance gender equality while building their self-esteem and future career opportunities?
