In front of the United Nations Security Council, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recounted the hardships and nightmares facing the Venezuelan people who suffer under the oppression of the Maduro regime.
In his speech, Pompeo called on the nations of the world to support interim President Juan Guaidó and the promise of a better future for Venezuela.
“Our nations must stand up for the rule of law and support the leader who the Venezuelan people have affirmed as their legitimate interim president,” Pompeo said. “It is our hope that free and fair elections happen as soon as possible.”
