Representatives of 62 nations met in Warsaw, Poland, on February 13 and 14 for the Ministerial to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East, co-chaired by Poland’s minister of foreign affairs and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“They all came together for a single reason: to discuss the real threats to our respective peoples emanating from the Middle East,” said Pompeo in his opening remarks.
“The United States will continue to lead on Middle East security issues,” Pompeo said. “We will continue to be a force for good in the region. Today is proof of that commitment.”
