The Syrian regime’s horrific chemical attack on its own people continues to shock the world.
Bashar al-Assad of Syria agreed four years ago to the Chemical Weapons Convention, a treaty that bans use of chemical weapons and aims to rid the world of chemical weapons. The April 4 chemical attack was not an isolated incident and presents a clear threat to the region and the world. U.S. officials condemn the attack.
