Em uma declaração na Conferência da ONU sobre Mudanças Climáticas (COP26), líderes de mais de cem países concordaram em trabalhar “coletivamente a fim de impedir e reverter a perda florestal e a degradação do solo até 2030”.
Dentre os países estão Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Canadá, França, Nigéria e Peru.
Por sua vez, os Estados Unidos lançaram duas iniciativas visando ajudar a atingir essas metas.
