Чтобы положить конец пандемии коронавируса, Соединенные Штаты и международные партнеры активизируют сотрудничество по передаче в дар вакцин против COVID-19 в различные страны и регионы мира.
В рамках глобальной борьбы с коронавирусом США уже приняли, в частности, такие меры:
закупили 500 млн доз вакцин для передачи в дар 100 развивающимся странам;
пожертвовали 4 млрд долларов на реализацию глобальной инициативы по справедливому распределению безопасных и эффективных вакцин против COVID-19;
поставляют критически важные для борьбы с коронавирусом медикаменты и оборудование и оказывают другую помощь в восстановлении экономики, преодолении нехватки продуктов питания и укреплении здравоохранения.
“Соединенные Штаты являются главным в мире арсеналом вакцин в нашей совместной борьбе с вирусом, – заявил 3 июня президент США Джозеф Байден. – Мы продолжим делать все, что в наших силах, для построения безопасного мира, более устойчивого перед лицом угрозы распространения инфекционных заболеваний”.
