In Trinidad and Tobago, the U.S. State Department teamed up with the United Nations and local organizations to distribute household goods such as bedding, mosquito nets, diapers, soap and baby-care items to Venezuelans fleeing the corrupt regime of Nicolás Maduro.
The United States has provided more than $100 million in humanitarian aid to help Venezuelans.
