U.S. marks 15 years of saving lives on World AIDS Day

This December 1, on World AIDS Day, the United States commemorates 15 years of saving lives through the U.S. global AIDS relief initiative called the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

PEPFAR was originally created to deliver lifesaving services in countries hardest hit by HIV/AIDS. Today, the initiative is controlling the pandemic through programs in 60 countries as the world edges closer to ending AIDS.
