One year ago the United States ended its participation in the flawed Iran nuclear deal. Since then, U.S. pressure on Iran has exposed the regime’s corruption, mismanagement, human rights abuses and environmental destruction to its neighbors.
U.S. sanctions and the “maximum pressure campaign” on Iran are achieving their intended effect and preventing the regime from spreading terror across the Middle East, U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook said April 2.
“Our sanctions are draining Iran’s support to its proxies, and for the first time in a very long time, they have less access to revenue to spread terror and militancy,” Hook said.
