Ukraine honors those who sacrificed in World War II

Ukraine was among the nearly 30 European Allied Nations that participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the V-E Day 70th Anniversary Commemoration in Washington May 8. Ukraine endured among the heaviest losses during World War II. It lost 14 million people, including those killed on the battlefield, civilians and concentration camp victims, and those deported against their will, according to Yaroslav Brisiuck of the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington.
