امریکہ کووڈ-19 کی ویکسینوں کی اربوں خوراکیں بطور عطیہ دے رہا ہے، ویکسینیں فراہم کرنے والے کوویکس نامی پروگرام اور دنیا بھر کے ممالک کو طبی امدادی سامان فراہم کرنے کے لیے فنڈ فراہم کر رہا ہے۔
امریکہ دنیا بھر میں کووڈ-19 ویکسینوں کا عطیہ دینے اور اور اس وبائی مرض کو ختم کرنے کے لیے بین الاقوامی شراکت داروں کے ساتھ مل کر کام کر رہا ہے۔
کووڈ-19 کے خاتمے کی عالمگیر جدوجہد میں امریکہ کی طرف سے اٹھائے جانے والے مندرجہ ذیل اقدامات شامل ہیں:-
- دیگر ممالک کو کووڈ-19 ویکسین کی 473 ملین خوراکوں کا عطیہ۔
- دنیا کے ممالک کے لیے ویکسینوں کی160 ملین خوراکوں کا عطیہ۔
- لگ بھگ ایک سو ترقی پذیر ممالک کو بطور عطیہ دینے کے لیے ویکسین کی 1 بلين خوراکوں کی خریداری۔
- کوویکس پروگرام میں مدد کرنے کے لیے بنائے گئے ویکسین کے اتحاد، گاوی کے لیے چار ارب ڈالر کا عطیہ۔ کوویکس دنیا بھرمیں کووڈ-19 کی محفوظ اور موثر ویکسینوں کو منصفانہ طور پر تقسیم کرنے کا ایک عالمگیر پروگرام ہے۔
- ضروری ادویات، سپلائی اور علاج معالجے کی فراہمی کے ساتھ ساتھ دنیا کے ممالک کی معیشت کی تعمیر نو کرنے، غذائی قلتوں پر قابو پانے اور صحت کی سلامتی کو مضبوط بنانے میں مدد کرنا۔
صدر بائیڈن نے 3 جون کے ایک بیان میں کہا، “امریکہ اس وائرس کے خلاف دنیا کی مشترکہ جنگ میں ویکسینوں کا اسلحہ خانہ ہوگا۔ ہم ایک ایسی دنیا تعمیر کرنے کے لیے جو کچھ کر سکے کریں گے جو متعدی بیماریوں سے لاحق خطرات کے خلاف دفاع میں زیادہ سلامتی والی ہو اور زیادہ محفوظ ہو۔”
