• Could you tell me … ？（你能告诉我……？）是比“Can you tell me …?”略微更客气的表达方式。
• Could you tell me where the library is? （你能告诉我图书馆在哪里吗？）请注意，“library”（图书馆）一词在这里用重音，表达的是主要信息。这是一个间接问句，所以主语(the library)放在动词(is)前面。在直接问句中，需要将主语与动词的顺序颠倒(Where is the library?)。
• Yes, it’s that way. （是的，就是那个方向。）请注意重音放在“that”一词上。说话者指着某一个方向并强调那个方向。
