联合国的 “黑海谷物倡议 “(Black Sea Grain Initiative)已经将乌克兰的近2800万吨粮食运抵目的地，使世界许多最有需要的人获得帮助。这项协议也帮助降低了全球粮食价格。

“黑海谷物倡议”也使联合国世界粮食计划署（U.N.’s World Food Programme）得到粮食。目前正在阿富汗、非洲之角和也门进行的人道援助行动都获得了乌克兰的粮食。
4 月，乌克兰粮食运抵索马里，该国因有史以来最严重的干旱而处于极端缺乏粮食安全的状态。

4月17日，3万吨乌克兰小麦运抵也门。
国际航运商会（International Chamber of Shipping）秘书长盖伊·普拉滕 (Guy Platten) 3 月对英国《卫报》（The Guardian）说，“就运输而言，它奏效了。这是一个巨大成功”。
杜加里克说，联合国谷物倡议帮助使食品价格有所回落。联合国粮农组织食品价格指数（U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization Food Price Index）显示了进一步的2.1%下跌。该指数在去年下跌多达20.5%。
