5月2日，美国负责监督和打击反犹太主义事务的特使（U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism）埃兰·卡尔（Elan Carr ）与美国代表团参加在波兰举行的第31届年度“国际生命大游行”（International March of the Living）。
据活动组织方提供的消息，“国际生命大游行”汇聚世界各地的人员前来波兰了解大屠杀事件的历史，探索偏见、不宽容和仇恨的根源。
游行队伍从奥斯维辛（Auschwitz）开始前往比克瑙（Birkenau）。两地都是当年最臭名昭著的纳粹集中营。
卡尔与美国驻以色列大使戴维·弗里德曼（David Friedman）、美国驻德国大使理查德·格雷内尔（Richard Grenell）、美国驻波兰大使若尔热特·莫斯巴赫（Georgette Mosbacher）、美国驻教廷（Holy See）大使卡莉丝塔·金里奇（Callista Gingrich）等美国高级官员参加了3公里的游行。
“国际生命大游行”的第二次活动预定5月9日在耶路撒冷（Jerusalem）举行。
